A Glowing Guide to Paris: Where to Stay, Savor, Stroll & Sparkle

There’s something about Paris that lingers—like the scent of fresh espresso and roses in the air, or the way golden hour hits the rooftops just right. Whether you’re wandering through the Marais or sipping champagne at lunch (because when in Paris), this city invites you to slow down, soak it in, and live a little more luminously.
As a chef, wellness coach, and travel curator, I’m always looking for that sweet spot between indulgence and intention. This is your glow-forward guide to experiencing Paris with purpose—where to stay, how to eat well (with joy), what to pack, how to keep moving, and a recipe to bring a little Parisian magic home.
🌿 Where to Stay: Elegance & Ease
These are my tried-and-true favorites—places that are as beautiful as they are well-located:
-
The Ritz Paris – Classic opulence with iconic history. Afternoon tea here feels like stepping into a movie.
-
Pavillon Faubourg Saint-Germain & Spa – Boutique charm meets modern luxury in the heart of Saint-Germain.
-
Hôtel Barrière Fouquet’s – Sleek and polished with a golden glow, just steps from the Arc de Triomphe.
-
Le Narcisse Blanc & Spa – Feminine, peaceful, and perfect for a solo trip or a romantic escape.
-
Four Seasons George V – For flower-lovers and luxury seekers. Every corner is pure eye candy.
💫 Want something more intimate, or traveling on a budget? I’ve got glowing picks for every kind of traveler—let me help you build your dream stay.
🥐 Eat Well (and Beautifully)
Yes, Paris is a foodie fantasy—but you don’t have to leave your wellness behind.
✨ Healthy-ish habits I stick to:
-
Starting the day with water, coffee, and fruit (or a yogurt from the market)
-
Filling up on salads with fish or eggs at lunch (the French do this so well!)
-
Saving my indulgences for what I really want—like a buttery croissant from Du Pain et des Idées or a few bites of chocolate mousse at dinner
✨ Glow-approved indulgences:
-
A glass of Chablis with oysters at Maison Sauvage
-
Duck confit at a candlelit bistro in Chez Fernand Christine
-
Macarons from Pierre Hermé enjoyed under the Eiffel Tower
It’s all about balance. Let pleasure be part of your wellness.

🚶 Movement is Everywhere
The beauty of Paris? You will walk… a lot. That’s part of the joy.
-
Wander Rue Cler with a market basket in hand
-
Climb to Sacré-Cœur and watch the city glow beneath you
-
Meander from the Louvre to the Tuileries and over to Palais Royal
-
Book museum tickets or dinner reservations that let you walk in between stops
-
Always take the scenic route (bonus: you’ll discover hidden boutiques and cafés)
💫 Pro tip: I build custom Google Maps for clients that keep days walkable and efficient, without ever feeling rushed.

🥂 Indulge with Intention
In Paris, joy is not a reward—it’s a daily ritual.
Say yes to:
-
Champagne at lunch (try a rosé glass at Hotel Costes)
-
A midday chocolate from Angelina
-
That quiet moment journaling with a café crème by the Seine
The secret? Tune into what actually lights you up, and release the pressure to do it all. The best Paris trips leave space for serendipity.

🧳 What to Pack (and What I Wore)
-
A neutral trench coat or blazer for layering (Paris can have a surprise rain storm from time to time)
-
Soft shoulder knits and breezy dresses
-
Your favorite pink fringe set for rooftop cocktails (mine waited for Miami but would’ve been fabulous here too)
-
Comfy-but-chic walking shoes (I love white Veja sneakers or a ballet flat)
-
A silk scarf (always!)
-
Crossbody bag for hands-free exploring
-
A mini steamer and chic pajamas—you’ll feel more put together

🥗 Recipe: Parisian Artichoke Carpaccio (Inspired by Coco)
This is a lighter take on the stunning dish I had at Coco, where thinly sliced artichokes were layered with olive oil, lemon, shaved parmesan, and fresh herbs. Here's how to recreate the vibe at home:
📝 Ingredients:
-
1 can (or 6-8 hearts) of artichoke hearts in water, drained and patted dry (unless you're feeling extra today chef... you can steam and peel fresh chokes)
-
Juice of 1 lemon
-
High-quality olive oil
-
Sea salt + cracked black pepper
-
Shaved parmesan or pecorino
-
Arugula or microgreens
-
Optional: thinly sliced radish, drizzle of truffle oil
🥣 Instructions:
-
Thinly slice the artichoke hearts vertically using a mandoline or sharp knife.
-
Arrange in a circular pattern on a chilled plate.
-
Drizzle with lemon juice and olive oil.
-
Top with sea salt, pepper, shaved cheese, and microgreens.
-
Optional: add a few radish rounds for crunch or a touch of truffle oil for depth.
Serve with a glass of sparkling wine and pretend you're at Coco in your silk Hermès scarf. ✨
🍾 Day Trip to Champagne? Mais Oui.
Want to escape the city for a day of bubbles and countryside beauty? I can plan:
-
A private driver for the day
-
Reservations at boutique champagne houses
-
A three-course lunch at a vineyard-view bistro
-
Stops at hidden gems along the route
This day was a highlight of my trip—and I’d love to design one just for you.
